Blooming Book Workshop // Yurt Space
The blooming book concept is something I have fallen deeply for. I have yet to find a more perfect pairing than an old book and dried flowers. The process of creating these is meditative and relatively simple. A perfect candidate for a unique dried flower workshop!
When: Sunday, March 2 from 2:00-4:00
Where: 725 Old Stage Road Arrowsic, ME
We will be taking antique books and folding the pages in using paperclips to create tight pockets for fifty flower stems to slide into. Then, you will be able to choose from a variety of dried flowers grown at Fogwood to decorate your books. You can either build the book standing up or laying flat with the pages open. Every creation will be uniquely yours.
Your dried flower books will be best displayed in indirect light and low humidity.
If you have your own book that you would like to use, don’t forget to select that option! Otherwise, I will provide them. I recommend a standard book size (7-9”). A book hand sized or smaller will be too small for the amount of stems I am providing, but you could always decorate two small books of your own as well.
